With over a decade of serving our community, and multiple awards as a top grooming salon in Southeastern Manitoba, we’ve built a reputation rooted in trust, skill, and an unwavering commitment to each pet’s comfort and well-being.

We are a progressive, team-based salon that blends advanced grooming with a deeper understanding of behaviour, health, and wellness. Our services range from routine maintenance and à la carte care to full custom styling, with a strong focus on creating positive, individualized experiences for every pet, including those with medical needs, behavioural challenges, or past trauma.

We are currently seeking an experienced Grooming Stylist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft, values teamwork, and is passionate about delivering both exceptional results and an exceptional experience.

🐶 Your Role

As a Stylist at Shag to Chic, you will:

Perform thorough consultations, aligning client expectations with what is safe, realistic, and comfortable for each pet
Deliver high-quality, custom grooming services across a variety of coat types and styles, from maintenance trims to advanced styling
Execute bathing and prep work to a high standard, ensuring coat health and cleanliness - in most cases our Prep-Techs are responsible on the daily.
Work confidently and compassionately with dogs of varying temperaments, including those with anxiety or behavioural challenges
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, in person, over the phone, and through text or digital platforms
Contribute to a positive, team-driven environment, including supporting colleagues on more complex cases
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace

🧠 What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years of hands-on grooming experience (or equivalent skill level)
Strong technical ability across a range of breeds and grooming styles
Confidence in handling dogs with varying needs, including behavioural or medical considerations
Excellent communication and client engagement skills
A team-oriented mindset with the ability to both give and receive feedback constructively
High personal standards and attention to detail
A genuine commitment to ongoing learning and growth

📍 Position Details

Full-time or part-time available
Weekend rotation required
